Baptism, from the Greek word baptizo which means “to immerse”, is a public act of worship in which a believer demonstrates his/her faith in Jesus Christ through water immersion. The full bodily immersion symbolizes the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus (Rom 6:3-5).

Baptism is a beautiful picture of a believer submitting his/her former life to have a new life lived in obedience to Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit. As such, baptism is for those who have first placed their faith in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins and a new life.

Baptism is a requirement for church membership (Matt 28:19-20).

Any of our pastoral staff would be happy to help you further discuss or schedule a baptism.
